Luke Coyle and Trinity Beth Named Mr. Golf and Ms. Golf for 2022

For second consecutive year, Coyle and Beth earn Mr. Golf and Ms. Golf honors.

LOUISVILLE, KY (October 13, 2022) – Last season, Luke Coyle of Taylor County High School and Trinity Beth of Marshall County High School were respectively named Mr. Golf and Ms. Golf for 2021. One year later, the story remains the same with both players claiming the 2022 Mr. Golf and Ms. Golf titles.

Coyle, a senior at TCHS, collected four individual wins during the high school golf regular season, winning the Cardinal Classic, Battle of the Bluegrass, Bethlehem Invitational, and the Region 1-4 Semi-State Preview. His postseason starts were highlighted by a victory in the First Round of the KHSAA State Championship at Country Club of Owensboro and a runner-up finish in the KGCA All-State Championship. Each of those accolades helped him edge his teammate Seth Smith by five points.

Even with this being Beth’s freshman year at MCHS, it is incredibly her third straight year earning the title of Ms. Golf. Her best season yet featured six victories in nine regular season starts. The victories continued to pour in during postseason play as she won the KGCA All-State Championship for the second consecutive year before winning the Region 1 Championship and First Round of the KHSAA State Championship in Owensboro. For an exclamation point, she topped the field at the KHSAA State Championship in Bowling Green to win that event for the first time in her career.

The All-State Golf First and Second Teams are chosen by points earned in high school invitationals, the KGCA All-State Championships, Regionals, and the KHSAA State Championships. Invitationals submit their results to the All-State points committee comprised of Directors from Golf House Kentucky, the Kentucky Golf Coaches Association, plus boys and girls high school coaches. The complete listing of boys and girls teams, with their respective schools and final points, is as follows:
