On Saturday at histroic Oakland Hills Country Club in suburban Detroit, Michigan, eighteen junior golfers from Kentucky arrived for the Drive Chip & Putt Regional seeking a spot in the 2020 National Finals at Augusta National Golf Club. Of the eight divisions in play with only the first-place finisher advancing to Augusta, three were taken by Kentuckians. 

Luke Coyle of Campbellsville was the first person during the day's play to secure a spot in the Georgia pines, as he advances to the National Finals for the second time. He won the Boys 14-15 Division on Saturday with a score of 150, recording 68 in driving, 27 in chipping and 55 in putting. The score was good enough for an 8 point margin of victory over his nearest challenger.

Bradford Lacefield from Versailles captured the Boys 12-13 Division with a dominant performance against his competition. He advanced with an 18 point winning margin thanks to his 139 score. Lacefield went 44-35-60 to get the win and make it two Kentucky boys who will be in the National Finals.

Joining Coyle and Lacefield in Augusta will be Athena Singh of Morehead. Singh came out on top in a one-point race over the runner-up, but Singh's 89 via 35-22-32 ultimatley prevailed in the Girls 10-11 Division. 

The Kentucky Golf Association, Kentucky PGA Section and Kentucky Golf Foundation are all thrilled for these three competitors. Luke, Bradford and Athena will represent Kentucky phenomenally six months from now during Masters week and watching them compete will be truly special. Each group would also like to salute the other Kentuckians who qualified for Saturday's Regional and helped demonstrate some of the high-quality junior golf the state of Kentucky possesses:
