16 Golfers Advance to DCP Regional Qualifier

On Sunday, August 18, Golf House Kentucky conducted the state's one and only Drive Chip & Putt Sub-Regional Qualifier at Persimmon Ridge Golf Club. Sixteen players, two from each division, punched their ticket to the next stage of Drive Chip & Putt Qualifying with hopes set on reaching the 2020 National Championship at Augusta National Golf Club. For the sixteen who advanced on Sunday, they will proceed to the Regional Qualifier at Oakland Hills Country Club in Bloomfield Township, Michigan. Set just outside of Detroit, the club has hosted six US Opens, three PGA Championships including the 2008 edition won by Padraig Harrington, and the 2004 Ryder Cup. 

The following players will compete in the Regional Qualifier after finishing top-two in their division at Persimmon Ridge:

Boys 7-9: Griffin Jackson, Brady Faulkner
Girls 7-9: Caroline Lankford, Carol Ann Mendenhall
Boys 10-11: Luc Kelty, Jace Wilder
Girls 10-11: Keira Yun, Alexa Salamah
Boys 12-13: Bradford Lacefield, Landon Stillwell
Girls 12-13: Trinity Beth, Kylah Lunsford
Boys 14-15: Luke Coyle, Logan Liles
Girls 14-15: Abigail Sutherland, Janie Morgan

Congratulations to each player on their advancement to the next stage of qualifying. Golf House Kentucky will be cheering on each player when they compete at Oakland Hills on Saturday, October 5.
