Registration for 2019 Membership and Tournaments will open on February 15, 2019.

Our opening event, the Kentucky Junior Match Play Championship, will kick off on March 23rd.  The format will vary slightly from years past, as we will be conducting the event over consecutive weekends for those who continue to advance. Players will play one match per day (either 18-holes or 9-holes depending on division), with players seeded by the 2018 Junior Tour Player of the Year rankings. For the 18-hole age divisions, the Round of 16 and quarterfinals will be played at Quail Chase Golf Course, the semifinals at Greenbrier Golf & Country Club, and the finals at Valhalla Golf Club. The 9-hole division semifinal and final sites are still being confirmed at this time.

We are also excited to announce some changes in format to the Kentucky PGA Junior Tour for 2019. Now in our 26th season, our goal is to make the junior golf landscape easier to understand and navigate, especially for those not intimately familiar with it. Events will be broken into three categories – Players Series (One day stroke play events), Championship Series (Two day regional events) and 9-hole Fall series events. The Kentucky PGA Junior Tour will still have one single membership, and members will have access to all events. The two day regional events will be ranked by Junior Golf Scoreboard, and many events will offer AJGA Performance Stars and invitations to other regional and national events.

Players Series (One Day Stroke Play Events)

The Players Series consists of one day 18-Hole tournaments throughout the spring and summer. There are separate divisions for Boys and Girls ages 6-18. There is a Player of the Year race in each division for both boys and girls. All spring and summer Series events will have 6-Hole, 9-Hole, and 18-Hole Divisions.

Championship Series (Two Day Regional Events)

Championship Series tournaments are two-day events that take place throughout the spring, summer, and fall. There is one overall age division for both Boys 13-18 and Girls 13-18, as well as age divisions for Boys 14 & Under, Girls 14 & Under, Boys 12 & Under and Girls 12 & Under. The Boys Overall, Boys 14 & Under, Girls Overall and Girls 14 & Under play 36-holes (18-holes each day), while the Boys 12 & Under and Girls 12 & Under play 9-holes each day. There is a Player of the Year race for both boys and girls. As a member of the Kentucky PGA Junior Tour, you are eligible to play in any Championship Series Tournament and Players Series event. Entry to the Kentucky Junior Amateur is limited to residents of Kentucky.

9-Hole Fall Series

The 9 Hole Fall Series consists of one day 9 Hole tournaments during the late summer and early fall, and culminates with a season-ending tour championship. There are separate divisions for the following age divisions: Boys/Girls 8 & under, 10 & under and 12 & under. This tour is meant to be a vehicle for new players to develop their games and experience an introduction to competitive golf.
